Kiruna, Sweden

If you want to really get away from it all this winter, Kiruna might be the place for you; it's located about as far north as you can go in Sweden! But despite its remote location (Kiruna is actually closer to the North Pole than it is Stockholm!), there are still plenty of things to see and do here—including dog sledding, ice fishing, and visiting Icehotel (the world's first hotel made entirely out of ice!). Just remember to pack your parka— temperatures here average around -4 degrees Fahrenheit in December!
